Every couple is different which means no wedding day is ever the same here at Paolo Cicognani and that’s what makes our job so exciting. It’s such a huge honour to play a part in planning one of the most important days of our couple’s lives and we always go the extra mile to ensure the day is as memorable as the planning journey itself. Whether you want a luxurious, grand affair or something intimate and understated, we make sure your celebration is an Italian dream. Have you ever wondered what it takes to be a wedding planner? Well today we’re going behind the scenes to reveal all…

So, who’s wondering what a wedding planner actually does? You may have spotted our post about reasons you may want to hire a destination wedding planner – if you haven’t read it, now is your chance! As Italian wedding planners, we do everything we can to ensure our couples have the best day of their lives and for that reason, we wear many different hats. Every eventuality is covered, and we always have a Plan B up our sleeves, as well as styling and decor ideas aplenty!

We’ve worked with hundreds of lovely couples from all over the world and we find that we often become friends with our clients – after all, we spend time getting to know you and your love story. We support you through the whole planning process to ensure it is seamless, creating timelines, setting budgets and sourcing only the finest Italian suppliers for your celebration. As well as covering all of the organisational elements of your celebration, we also ensure it is spectacular for your friends and family to see! It’s our job to bring your big day to life – you can see why wedding planners are so much more than wedding planners, right?

It’s almost impossible to predict what a typical day is going to be like for a wedding planner and there’s always a huge amount to tick off our to-do-list. From catch-up calls and consultations with clients to sourcing the most stunning settings for your special day. Our busiest time of year stretches from April right through to the end of October – renowned as wedding season in Italy. The summer months are often spent at weddings and working hundreds of hours a week, but we wouldn’t change it for the world of course.

If you were to ask us what our favourite part of being Italian wedding planners was, we’d have to say the big day itself. It never gets old seeing the smiles on our couple’s faces, not to mention their guests! Seeing all of our hard work poured into one day really is magical and it makes our day knowing that this is the start of someone’s happily ever after.

We also love the fact that we are able to bring people of all ages from all across the world to Italy to celebrate something so special. A destination wedding is a chance to relax, unwind and temporarily escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life, creating memories that will last a lifetime. We often welcome our couples back to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries and more.
