Alison & Charles’s wedding in Tuscany: the location
This beautiful couple opted for a three-day celebration in Tuscany, with Villa Catignano as their Italian wedding venue. Thanks to the prettiest peach and blue color palette, an elegant wedding theme and plenty of magical atmosphere, it was a weekend to remember.
Trying to plan their wedding from Dubai, Alison and Charles soon realized that the effort was just too stressful – that’s when they contacted us, Paolo Cicognani’s team of wedding planners, to bring their dream day to life.
During our first Skype call we started talking about the perfect wedding venue for them. We suggested a handful of locations we regularly work with, based on the wishes they expressed. For couples who are not familiar with Italy and Tuscany, it can be difficult to know which wedding venue to choose: there are farmhouses, hamlets, boutique hotels, historic villas, and much more… basically, the options are endless! Yes, this means you’re spoilt for choice, but it can also mean that the search for a venue might become overwhelming. And that could set the stage for the wrong decision.
As experienced wedding planners, we constantly visit the venues to inspect the logistics and spaces, so that we can truly recommend the most suitable one for the couple’s needs and desires.
With its picturesque countryside location, spacious rooms and rich history, we agreed that Villa Catignano would be the ideal place for Alison and Charles to say ‘I Do’. And we were right!
Planning every detail of an unforgettable Italian wedding
After setting a date, the couple could start picturing their special day at Villa Catignano, a 17th-century venue with a quaint terrace, Italian garden and courtyard – you can just imagine the endless photography opportunities!
With Alison and Charles we worked together to source wedding suppliers – from flowers & décor to the music – who could be the right fit for their wedding day. We opted for a soft peach and cornflower blue color palette, with a luxury wedding theme that wowed guests from the moment they came out from their apartments at Villa Catignano.
Alison’s bridesmaids donned beautiful full-length blue gowns, while the bride carried a bouquet brimming with peach blooms and handfuls of greenery and foliage – the bridal party was a vision! The groom and his best men looked smart in navy suits paired with dusty blue ties, a wonderful choice for a Tuscan wedding.
For the wedding reception, guests could taste wines and food in the courtyard under a canopy of fairy lights with the countryside as a backdrop. Round tables were filled with floral centerpieces, lights and candles, while the bridal party took center stage on a long trestle table. Cross-back chairs finished the look and winked to the rustic Italian vibe.
The aperitif tables were laden with exquisite local cuisine: cold and cured meats, fresh bread, a mouth-watering selection of cheese and so much more. It was a true feast for Alison and Charles’s guests!
