An iconic Tuscan wedding with a luxurious twist

No place is better than Chianti if you wish for a destination wedding in pure Tuscan style. Ciara and Peter – a beautiful couple of entrepreneurs from Ireland – were dreaming exactly of this for their most special day, and that’s why they contacted us, Paolo Cicognani and team, as their Italian wedding planners.

The chosen venue was Tenuta di Monaciano, a picturesque estate near Siena surrounded by the breathtaking landscape of Chianti. The event itself was the highlight of three days that Ciara and Peter spent with their loved ones on the property, enjoying every bit of their Tuscan wedding experience.

It all started with an outdoor ceremony, set up in an amphitheater in the garden and decorated with pillows in the same colors of the fresh flowers that were on the altar, chairs and that composed the bride’s bouquet too. Sweet flower girls and the bridesmaid preceded Ciara’s entrance: her beauty, class and smile were as shining as the summer light. Those moments were very touching, as they involved the whole family and some symbolic rituals such as the hands-tying one.

The celebration went on with a cocktail in the villa, enriched by many different food stations, and with a delicious seated dinner that turned into an unforgettable moment thanks to the meaningful speeches given by the guests.

What made this Tuscan wedding different from the average country-chic event was the care for details. For example, the luxurious touches of the table setting, with its centerpiece composed of delicate fresh flowers and a gold candle holder. And let’s not forget the final party, with live music followed by a DJ set, that Ciara and Peter had strongly desired – and that they fully enjoyed, as testified by their words:

“We’re still on the biggest high after the most incredible few days at Monaciano.

Thank you will never be enough for what you & your team & your suppliers pulled off over the 3 days. We knew it would be amazing but it was a WHOLE other level of amazing & you made it so, so easy for us to relax & pretty much just show up to the events so thank you so, so much for that.

Our friends & family had the best time and everyone said they couldn’t believe how relaxed we were – we will never forget the amazing weekend we had under the Tuscan sun!
