An enchanting Jewish Wedding in Italy, at Castello San Salvatore

Some celebrations transcend expectations, not only for their beauty but for the emotion and intention behind every detail. Stephanie and Benjamin, a couple from New York, chose the picturesque landscape of Northern Italy to host their unforgettable three-day wedding. From the very first welcome to the final farewell, their Jewish wedding in Italy was a masterclass in aesthetics, romance and thoughtful planning.

A warm welcome at Villa Barbarich

The festivities began with a welcome party at Villa Barbarich, a charming Venetian residence that takes guests back in time with its frescoed interiors. While the weather delivered an unrelenting downpour, the evening was a true testament to foresight and flexibility. Thanks to meticulous planning, the Orangerie provided an elegant indoor setting where guests gathered for a lively buffet, cocktails and music – the perfect introduction to the weekend’s joyful energy.

The artful wedding day at Castello San Salvatore

The following day, the heart of this Jewish wedding in Italy unfolded at Castello San Salvatore, a majestic property nestled in the rolling hills near Conegliano (Treviso), where Prosecco is born. Rich in history and architectural beauty, the venue provided an extraordinary canvas for Stephanie and Benjamin’s vision.

Under the ancient stone tower, a breathtaking Chuppah was adorned with delicate florals, setting the stage for a moving, traditional Jewish ceremony. As a cantor sang a Bocelli classic, the bride made her entrance: a moment suspended in time. The ceremony culminated with the iconic breaking of the glass, followed by a joyful “Mazel Tov!” echoing through the castle walls.

Guests then enjoyed an aperitif in the magnificent courtyard of Castello San Salvatore, where live performers added a vibrant flair to the setting. Dinner was served beneath suspended chandeliers and a canopy of stars, with a mix of imperial and round tables beautifully styled with refined tableware and floral compositions in pastel and gold hues. This Jewish wedding in Italy flowed seamlessly between toasts, dancing and unforgettable live performances, including the Hora and a first dance on the golden monogrammed dance floor.

Later, guests were guided to the Terrazza del Leccio, where the couple cut their cake under a centuries-old tree. As glasses were raised, fireworks lit up the sky: an unexpected surprise that left everyone in awe.

A farewell with a splash and words from the newlyweds

The weekend ended with a relaxed pool party back at Villa Barbarich, where guests enjoyed a sunny buffet, drinks and music before farewelling the newlyweds.

These words from the bride couldn’t make us – Paolo Cicognani and team – happier and more proud of how the celebration turned out:

“I just want to thank you so much for everything. You really went above and beyond and amazed me. I’m so grateful to have met you and have you as our wedding planner. I love you forever. Really have no words for it.”
