You don’t need a party with hundreds of guests to have a special destination wedding: it can be small too, and still truly magical. Or maybe even more magical.

Lauren and Ryan are an amazing couple, equally sweet and successful, the kind of people who is a pleasure to work with. They are architects – she works for the prestigious Rost architectural firm, he works in the video games industry – and they live in Irvine, California. They strongly desired to get married in Italy and they selected us, Paolo Cicognani and team, as their wedding planners.

We followed them from the very beginning, first of all helping them choose the perfect venue for their Tuscany villa wedding: Villa Scorzi, a gem near the city of Pisa, tranquil and versatile, ideal for a civil or symbolic ceremony followed by a luxurious reception.

The touching ceremony took place outdoors, in front of the Villa, in a setting finely decorated with fresh flowers and immersed in the beautiful Italian garden. It was followed by a toast accompanied by live music and some couple portraits taken all around the property, using its diverse backgrounds.

When the evening came, it was time for the delicious dinner located under the antique vaults of Villa Scorzi. We at Paolo Cicognani always pay the greatest attention to every detail of the table setting, to make it glamorous and memorable. Lauren and Ryan’s imperial table was decorated with an abundance of fresh flowers – the same that we used for the ceremony – in the shades of white, pale pink and peach together with sage green leaves. Golden details and the soft light of candles completed the scene and ensured a fairytale-like atmosphere. The tiered cake left everyone speechless: so simple yet elegant, it recalled the colors of the flowers – and had fresh ones on it too, as well as the bride and groom initials.

The whole event was photographed by the talented Cristiano Facibeni, who was able to perfectly represent the mood that pervaded this small destination wedding in Tuscany.
