A unique and artistic wedding in Emilia-Romagna

Emilia-Romagna is not the typical wedding destination in Italy, and this makes it special already. Add to that a venue that can be considered a true hidden gem, an event rich in art and personality, and a luxurious wedding design, and you get a perfect, unique and unforgettable experience. K., a young entrepreneur, and M.C., a soon-to-be magistrate, contacted us, Paolo Cicognani and team, to plan their bespoke and sumptuous wedding in Emilia-Romagna. They wanted something extraordinary, and we happily went the extra mile to make their event really spectacular.

The ceremony took place in an ancient parish church in the Italian countryside, decorated by our trusted vendor Il Giardino delle Fate with an abundance of fresh flowers of the same kinds and colors as those illustrated on the wedding stationery created by Laura Mazzetti. The palette ranged from ivory to burgundy, exploring all shades of pink, with touches of green. The same flowers embellished also the groom’s black Ferrari, composed the wonderful bride’s bouquet and enriched the whole reception location – from the tableau de marriage to the centerpieces.

A wonderful and private 17^th Century villa located near Bertinoro hosted the preparation of the bride and groom – who respectively wore sandals by Rene Caovilla and an IWC Schaffhausen watch – and the reception of this wedding in Emilia-Romagna. The venue offers many different and equally astonishing settings, outdoors and indoors, which is a great resource in case of bad weather or winter wedding. In this event, the reception tables were placed all around the indoor pool, covered in fine white clothes and embellished by golden cutlery, porcelain plates with golden rims, and crystal glasses and candle holders.

The table plan was a mix of modern design – with its plexiglass cubes – and timeless elegance – thanks to the fresh flowers. The same mix was granted by the artistic performances that marked the time of the whole party: dancers in costumes, with magic wings and fire, turned the celebration into an exclusive show. The newlyweds changed their outfits to cut the scenic wedding cake and to toast with a Moët & Chandon magnum, before continuing the party with an open bar and dances – until the highlight of this wedding in Emilia-Romagna: breathtaking fireworks!
